Breaking News
Yesterday the ELCA removed the content from the heretical Digging Deeper section of their web-site. Let us pray that it is the Holy Spirit opening the hearts and minds of the leaders of the ELCA and not just damage control. 1 Timothy 6:12, "Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses." Continue to speak out for the Lord. Let Him use you as a vessel to proclaim His glory to all nations.

It is very hard not to be cynical about this. And even if it is genuine repentance, there has already been a staggering amount of damage done to the ELCA by the leadership's bizarre embrace of secular politics and rejection of the Word of God.
ReplyDeleteIt is a similar situation faced by those televangelists who got caught doing all sorts of non-Christian things. At what point does their ability to be Christian leaders become ruined beyond repair? I know that any and all sins can be forgiven by the power of the Cross, but that does not mean that there are no lasting consequences.
