Audits, accountability, innovation, oh my!

Democrats shed their crocodile tears as an unelected but duly appointed “Co-President” Elon Musk, and his merry band of techies audit bloated government agencies. “Elon is usurping Congressional authority.” “Elon is accessing personal data.” “Elon has allowed Mr. “Big Balls” to invade our bureaucracy.” “People will die!” Last I checked, the IRS is filled with unelected bureaucrats that are granted authority to audit any citizen’s tax returns. Unelected Federal, State, and local regulators infringe on the rights of property and business owners with impunity. Musk was granted authority by executive order and appointed to lead the Department of Government Efficiency. (DOGE) Musk was tasked to audit the Federal bureaucracy to identify fraud, waste, unnecessary programs and positions. DOGE, led by Musk, is doing just that. President Trump was elected with a mandate to clean up our runaway and, far too often, unaccountable Federal bureaucracy.

The hair on fire response from the democrats leaves one to postulate as to why they doth protest so vehemently. Could it be that an end to their gravy train is nigh? Democrats are filing lawsuit after lawsuit before hand-picked, activist, democrat appointed judges that intend to hamstring the Trump administration and derail the people’s agenda. Why are the democrats protecting the Deep State bureaucracy at all costs, while neglecting their responsibility to the taxpayer’s they represent? As in all corrupt endeavors one needs only to follow the money. Who has gained financially and who stands to lose their financial advantage. Career politicians, ingrained into the swamp of political favors that is Washington DC, fall prey to the temptation of lobbyists and the “under the table” benefits that they offer. Those elected from the middle-class end up with a net worth of tens of $millions on an annual salary of under $200,000. Pretty lucrative when all you need to do is cast your vote for special interests while betraying your oath to your nation and constituency.

It is not only democrats that are worried that their evil deeds will be discovered. The swamp has infected, not only both political parties, but the deep state bureaucrats, and many stand to lose their ill-begotten gains. From Nancy Pelosi’s insider trading, I mean astute stock strategies, to former New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez’ conviction on bribery charges, unethical and illegal behavior is rampant among our elected representatives. Many of the unelected bureaucrats have also accumulated vast wealth, out of proportion to their salaries. Power and authority are the great aphrodisiacs that enable one to justify inappropriate behavior.

It is long past due that there is an accounting of the bloated Federal bureaucracy and those elected officials with their hands in the till. Housecleaning often entails culling the herd and discarding items that are no longer of use. So, it should be with those charged to serve the people if they have decided to serve themselves. Things need to change, and the House, Senate, and swamp need to be drained of the useless, classless, and unethical. Elon Musk and DOGE is exactly what the doctor ordered. Priorities must be maintained, but there is much too much frosting on the cake. Time to trim down to what is necessary and trim the fat. Go Elon go!

Power ultimately corrupts

Humans were created by a perfect God. Unfortunately, humans are far from that perfection. God created a paradise for Adam and Eve to live and walk with Him for eternity. God gave them full autonomy in the garden with only one single prohibition, to not eat the fruit of the tree of life. But Adam and Eve disobeyed, leading to the fall. Ever since that fall, humans have engaged in all manner of depravity. Creation was once perfect and humans defiled it, and to this day we continue to corrupt our world with our ever-increasing immorality. Money, power, and sex is what drive far too many of us human beings, especially those who rise to positions of authority. The framers of this once great nation created a Constitutional Republic ruled by “We the people,” not by royals who ruled by fiat. Today, “public servants” are far too concerned with their self-interests, their benefactors, and advancing their personal agendas, while disregarding the needs of their constituents. The “Swamp,” which consists of lobbyists, Deep State bureaucrats, and corporate interests is pervasive. Elected politicians enrich themselves and their families when they toe the company line and do as they are told.

Do you really think that the Bidens are the only politicians that are or have engaged in unethical and illegal schemes? Corruption by our “leaders” is so pervasive and so many, elected and unelected, are so deeply involved, that should their illicit activities be brought to light, many would be facing jail time. (see Senator Robert Menendez D-NJ) There is good reason that anytime an outsider is elected, every effort is made to turn them to the dark side. Everyone must be on the same page for this to work. Should those efforts fail to convince, the swamp mobilizes and attacks, using the media and deep state to delegitimize with lies and false accusations. (see Representatives Madison Cawthorn R-NC, George Santos R-NY, and any other representative shining a light on the darkness of the swamp) There is good reason that Democrats and Republicans have employed every tool to prevent Donald Trump from regaining the White House. Should he return to the Oval Office, he would begin to expose the rot in our government. Heads would roll. The gravy train is running much too smoothly for it to be run off the rails by a President who already has accumulated more than enough wealth, leaving him impervious to the lure of easy money. In fact, President Trump saw his net worth decrease by more than $I billion during his term. I’m sorry, but if you want a kinder and gentler President, you will only get what you deserve, another swamp dweller with more of the same.

Whistleblower laws were enacted to protect those who expose corruption in government, yet Democrats in Congress attempt to discredit them and partisan bureaucrats persecute them. Two separate impeachment hearings and trials take place targeting President Trump, bypassing any impeachment inquiry to discover all facts. While neither impeachment attempts were later found to have any credibility, the damage was done. president Biden’s son, Hunter, and brother, James, spearhead a convoluted influence-peddling scheme. Nothing to see here according to the Democrats and an impeachment inquiry is partisanship run amok. Evidence from the January 6^th committee is destroyed, even though a myriad of federal laws are broken. Cue the crickets from the mainstream media. Hunter Biden defies a Congressional subpoena, abetted by Representative Eric Swalwell, D-CA and Democrats cheer. Circle the wagons and deflect blame is the Democrat way. Dick Durbin (D-IL) refuses to release the names of those who took the “Lolita Express” to Jeffrey Epstein’s Island paradise. Gotta protect their own you know. Loose lips will sink ships and far too many of your elected officials have engaged in inappropriate behavior. As each misdeed is exposed, the risk is that more and more will be exposed for the liars and cheats that they are.

Serving on the Washington County, WI Board of Supervisors for ten years, the last four as Chairman, I know from where I speak. There are too few, even in local government, that gain office without a personal agenda. There are too few who retain the humility that facilitated their election victories. There are too few that do not look to use their “power” to their advantage. Human nature far too often rears its ugly head and those public servants begin to think that they are better than the great unwashed masses they are called to represent. If our government continues on this path, we are doomed to ruin. Unengaged citizens who mindlessly vote “D” or “R” are exactly what the deep state depends upon. Uninformed voters and those citizens who fail to cast their ballots signal that they are willing to let the swamp do as they please. Apathy breeds corruption, and far too many of us are satisfied with ceding authority to those who exploit our trust and use authority to their own benefit. It’s always easier to stand by idly and let others do the heavy lifting. After all, we are all much too busy with our own lives. Your nation is falling down the rat hole and if you think protecting your quality of life in a free and fair country is too much to ask, you will get what you deserve.

Never Enough

On June 26^th, 2015 the United States Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage was legal in all 50 states. Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote for the majority, “They ask for equal dignity in the eyes of the law. The constitution grants them that right.” This ruling was universally celebrated as recognizing equal rights for all under the law. When Justice Kennedy opened this “Pandora’s Box,” he failed to understand that the innate selfishness of humankind is seldom satisfied with just one bite of the apple. A foot in the door was destined to reach beyond that ruling’s intent. In less than 8 years that decision has indelibly altered the trajectory of Western society.

On March 8, 2023, the United Nations published Principal 16 – Consensual Sexual Conduct, "Sexual conduct involving persons below the domestically prescribed minimum age of consent to sex may be consensual in fact, if not in law." — International Commission of Jurists, commissioned by the UN. Additionally in the report, "In this context, the enforcement of criminal law should reflect the rights and capacity of persons under 18 years of age to make decisions about engaging in consensual sexual conduct and their right to be heard in matters concerning them." This is a tacit call to normalize and decriminalize pedophilia. The effort to hyper-sexualize children and desensitize them to alternative sexual practices is evidenced by curricula and policies embraced by many schools.

The citizens of the United States find themselves in a quandary. The deliberate erosion of long-held principles and accepted social mores will inevitably destabilize society. What was normal is now considered "phobic" and the vestiges of white patriarchal society. Since that fateful 2015 ruling, society has been inundated with covert and overt overtures in an effort to redefine sexuality. Sex is the aphrodisiac that traps the powerful and powerless alike. Unrestrained sexuality is destroying the very fabric of our nation and the "sheeple" prefer to ignore the decline and virtue signal with their tolerance and acceptance of diverse lifestyle choices.

Decadence and corruption overwhelmed the Roman Empire. Borders were neglected and their military left in disarray, unable to defend their outposts and borders. The United States finds itself occupying similar ground. Military leaders focus their efforts in confronting and eliminating “white supremacy” within its’ ranks, neglecting the responsibility to train a fighting force capable of defending the country. Instead of fostering camaraderie, divisive critical race theory is taught that pits our fighting men and women against those whose skin color is different than their own. Soldiers that refused an experimental vaccine are dishonorably discharged and refused re-entry after the deficient efficacy of the vaccine is exposed and mandates have ended. Our government spends our children’s inheritance on social and climate justice boondoggles while underfunding the military. An invading army will meet little resistance.

Roman corruption is dwarfed by the weaponization of government and the utterly corrupted nature of politicians. President Biden is himself embroiled in an influence-peddling scheme run by his son Hunter and his brother James. $Millions have been laundered from enemy nations to various members of his family. Government’s highest-paid employee, Dr. Anthony Fauci, perjures himself before Congress, willfully and intentionally attempting to shield the origins of Covid-19, and uses taxpayer funds to dole out grants to scientists willing to “toe his line.” Money is the root of all evil. There is good reason that Washington DC is called the “Swamp” and the “Deep State” is running amok.

Our southern border is virtually eliminated by the Biden administration as millions of illegal immigrants are allowed entry and transported throughout the country. A nation without a sovereign border is not a nation at all. With these immigrants, who are not properly vetted, comes crime, drugs, human trafficking, and communicable diseases that have been long eradicated in the US. Non-profits and faith-based organizations work with the government to transport illegal immigrants into communities without notification. Elections have consequences and we are suffering from poor choices. The “Bad Orange Man” was ousted, but the alternative has been far worse. Mainstream media continues to push an agenda rather than reporting facts, yet many blindly support this false narrative.

“A horrible and shocking thing has happened in the land. The prophets (media) prophesy (report) falsely, and the priests (government) rule by their own (not the people’s) authority.” The silence of good people is deafening. This nation will decline exponentially unless good people refuse to allow it. Will you stand by idly, or will you try to save your nation?
