Irredeemable?

 

Hillary may have been right, sort of.

There just may be people that have been so influenced by the evil one that they may very well be irredeemable. Hillary accused Christians and conservatives of being irredeemable and a “basket of deplorables,” but those who celebrate accomplishing their evil deeds with ill intent are the true offenders. On October 7^th, 2023, radical Islamist terrorists gleefully killed, raped, and brutalized Israeli civilians, including forcing parents to watch their infant children burned to death before being killed themselves. Hamas video-taped their wickedness for the world to witness, yet American college students continue to support Palestinians and Hamas while vilifying Israel and their own country. While the murderous Hamas degenerates may very well be beyond salvaging, these wayward young people are not totally lost.

College professors, many of whom were once violent, radical leftists themselves, (see Bill Ayres and Bernadene Dohrn) are now in position to indoctrinate our future leaders with leftist ideology. While these leftist “educators” demean the nation that allowed them to prosper, they foster discontent among their students. These former anarchists neglect any responsibility to promote the free exchange of ideas that would enrich the lives of their charges. They are instead creating automatons that cannot think for themselves or explain their support for all things left, without spouting slogans and phrases their professors infused into their brains. These America hating, freedom despising Marxists are enemies of God. These leftist professors just may fall into Hillary’s definition of irredeemable, although they certainly check the box as deplorable.

Those that under the guise of “gender affirming care,” brainwash children by encouraging them to experiment with alternate sexual identities, prescribe puberty blocking drugs or worse, perform sexual mutilation surgeries, will have a special place in hell should they fail to turn from evil and repent. School administrators, teachers, psychiatrists, doctors, and legislators that shield gender confused children and refuse to inform parents that they wish to change their pronouns or transition, deserve the harshest condemnation. Parents are responsible for their children and any decisions that have life-altering consequences must be made by the parents, not the child or some so-called “expert.”

Abortion is another matter. Celebrating the murder of unborn children harkens back to the Canaanites who burned their children alive on a bronze bull statue as sacrifices offered to their deity Baal. Each of us began within our mother’s womb, deserving to be born. It is the personification of evil when leftists attempt to justify the killing of another human being as “my body, my choice.” Unfortunately, the unborn human being has no choice in the matter. Abortion is premeditated murder, pure and simple. It is barbaric when a pre-born child, that can feel pain, is torn apart in the birth canal, right up to the time of delivery. Abortion is evil and those who practice it are selfish, uncaring, and heartless. Without a change in heart, they will have a difficult time explaining themselves at the judgement seat.

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who turn darkness to light and light to darkness, who replace bitter with sweet and sweet with bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.” Isaiah 5:20-21.

The democrat party continues with reckless rhetoric that is inciting violence and tearing the fabric of society apart. They sow division and smear their opponents with vicious lies, all in a selfish effort to attain power. Democrats fail in their responsibility to represent their constituents in government. Democrats engage in obstruction, harming their constituency by refusing to fund necessary national security apparatus, while blaming their opponents. Democrats are corrupt, utilizing whatever tactics are necessary for them to gain and maintain power.

We are all image bearers of God, are unconditionally loved by Him, and He wants all of His children to come and share eternity with Him. Yet, when does it become time to “shake the dust off our sandals?” When evil seems to have completely poisoned a person’s soul, how can we possibly reach out in love to express to them the love of Christ through our actions and speech? We cannot return hate for hate. That would only close the door on any opportunity for the Holy Spirit to influence a lost soul. As difficult as it may seem, it is essential that we see those who are lost as brothers and sisters in need of the saving grace of Jesus Christ, just as we all are.

Evil will thrive in this world if we fail to recognize it and call it out. Evil will never relent of its own accord. Pretend it is not there and it will grow stronger. Evil can be committed by good, but misguided people. Good intentions can also lead one to commit unspeakable evil. What is right in man’s law is often not in line with God’s will. Failing to understand that evil is real will allow the evil one to prosper in this world. Good people are lost to the evil one every day. Returning animosity to that screaming leftist only feeds the evil one’s plans to lead more people away from God. Evil may have won a few battles, but we know who prevails in the end. Repaying hate with love and kindness may just grease the skids enough to open that door just a crack for the Holy Spirit to enter and begin to lead them to Christ.

Justification

 

Justification is the act of providing a good reason or explanation for something, often used in legal contexts to mean a valid defense for an action. It can also refer to the process of being declared righteous or acquitted, especially in religious terms. Google Assistant AI answer.

On October 7^th, 2023 Hamas attacked Israel, deliberately targeting innocent civilians, ruthlessly killing 1189 and taking 251 hostages back to Gaza. The atrocities committed by Hamas on that day were obscene. Killing babies, raping women, and killing entire families while laughing maniacally during their escapade. It was literally an embodiment of pure evil. There is absolutely no justification for the actions of Hamas on that day.

So much for any chance of reaching a two-state solution.  For Hamas it is their stated goal to pursue only the “from the river to the sea” solution, built upon the dead bodies of every Israeli. To radical Islamists, the only good Jew is a dead Jew. The land of Israel is the ancestral home of the Israelites, given to them by God as the promised land. The Lord said to Moses, “I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. And I have promised to bring you up out of your affliction in Egypt, into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites—a land flowing with milk and honey.” Exodus 3:8, 17.

Islam accepts that God’s revelation was revealed to the prophets of the Old Testament, Abraham, Moses, Noah, and others, but further believes some of the original text was corrupted (only those that Islam rejects based on a long-standing hostility against Jews) from the revelation, compilation, and canonization of the Old Testament Bible. Conversely, Islam accepts that the Quran was revealed to Mohammed, compiled into written form, much of it after his death. Numerous translations of the Quran were in circulation. Around 650AD one version was canonized, and all others were burned to prevent confusion. Yet, Islam professes the Quran as wholly the word of God, uncorrupted.

Radical Islam and the civilized world cannot coexist. Radical Islamists have used passages of the Quran to justify murdering innocents. Radical Islam cannot and will not legitimately seek peace with Israel and the west. Hamas is populated with Islam-fascists that gleefully wage war against Israel, even as they radicalize and exploit the Palestinian population. This war was begun and escalated by Hamas, and they must be rooted out and eliminated. Yes, this is a just war, and Radical Islam should be rejected wholeheartedly by every Muslim. Until such a time as that occurs, this war must continue until Hamas and their evil ideology is defeated.

Or how to destroy a nation in five six easy steps.

Humans introduced the first machinations of society when they gathered into tribal groups, leaning on each other to provide security, share resources, and form into a community. The strongest among them arose to be their leaders. As more tribes emerged, they began to engage in conflicts with each other, primarily over limited resources, and land. Society continued to evolve, eventually forming nations held together by common beliefs and protections those nations provided. Unfortunately, the tribal mentality persisted, conflicts grew, leading to wars that went beyond resources and land. Wars have since evolved to include conflicts over differing political ideologies and religions.

It is commonly thought that the US Civil War was fought over the issue of slavery. Actually, it was not simply about slavery. The southern states chose to ignore federal laws, asserting States' rights over federal authority, and refused to end slavery because they believed it was essential to sustain their agricultural economy. The conflict began when the southern States voted to secede from the union, forming the Confederate States of America. Unfortunately, history has a way of repeating itself as one political party has established their own tribe and has declared war on the current administration, the rule of law, and the citizens of the United States.

We are on the cusp of another civil war, not fought with weapons of war, but against ideology that is just as perilous.

·         Engage in lawfare - Dangerous and radical warfare divides this nation, with leftists attempting to overturn traditional America. Executive actions by the Trump administration, meant to create a path back to normalcy, are derailed by hundreds of lawsuits filed in sympathetic venues. Radical, leftist judges, that lack the Constitutional authority to do so, constrain the executive branch with nationwide injunctions. Democrat run cities and states refuse to cooperate with federal law enforcement, creating “sanctuaries” for lawbreakers. When states ignore federal statutes and judges disregard the law when they happen to disagree politically, that is what creates a real constitutional crisis.

·         Victimize Americans - Democrats have deliberately perverted the rule of law by lifting the “rights” of criminals, in particular illegal alien criminals, over the rights of the victims of crime. Criminals in democrat run cities run amok as democrats support and elect District Attorneys that “decriminalize” the law, refuse to hold law breakers accountable, and release violent offenders back into the community, failing in their responsibility to maintain public safety. Democrats push for “responsible gun reform” so that crime victims will no longer be able to defend themselves.

·         Fight to restrict the 1^st Amendment - Vilifying any viewpoints not in line with the left’s chosen narrative has effectively corrupted free speech. The left’s attempt to control misinformation and disinformation demeans the public’s ability to apply common sense and reason. The leftist strategy of refusing to engage in debate, while overemphasizing the hatred of their political opponents, is embraced by democrats as they foolishly believe it to be an effective avenue to regain political power.

·         Double down on transgenderism and sexual deviancy – Democrats continue to promote the anti-science belief that, somehow, gender is fluid, and up to the interpretation of the individual. They advocate for children to choose their gender behind their parent’s backs when minors cannot lawfully choose to attend a school field trip without parental consent. The left cannot define what a woman is yet believe that men can become women and women can become men. Advances made to equalize women within society have been quashed by this misguided effort to affirm those afflicted by the mental illness of gender dysphoria. Preferred pronouns? Normalizing drag queens and those who identify as animals is ludicrous. Debauchery and deviant sexual behavior contributed to the fall of Rome, and it risks destroying the fabric of society and this nation.

·         Support and encourage Anti-Christianity and antisemitism -  “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!” This has become the rallying cry for the democrat party. They accuse Israel of occupying their own country and accuse them of committing genocide while ignoring the heinous Hamas attack on October 7^th. Christianity is debased and Christians are attacked as racist, homophobic, and exclusionary. The nuclear family has been decimated, particularly in the African American community as government entitlements replace the father. Welfare provides just enough benefits to discourage the work ethic of those receiving it.

·         Encourage racial animosity – Democrats use the term racism as a cudgel, employing it as a wedge to divide the nation. Using Critical Race Theory and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion ideology, persons of color are taught to hate white people and white people learn to hate themselves. Forcing children to see skin color as a defining quality of a person is tantamount to promoting racism as an acceptable behavior.

This is what democrats believe will win back the hearts and minds of America. Democrats are engaging in a concerted effort to destroy the very fabric of society. Their foray into this realm of fantasy must end and they must return to normalcy. There is nothing positive in their strategy of dividing and conquering. The democrat party has no answers. The democrat party has no plan for this nation. They only trade in hatred and division. Democrats must be rejected and shunned until such a time as they decide to moderate their positions and work for the betterment of the people they swore an oath to serve.

Democrats and their co-conspirators in the legacy media have placed all of their eggs in a basket that seeks to derail Trump’s agenda, cheerleading for his policies to fail and along with it, this nation. Sowing dissention and creating chaos should never take precedence over bipartisanship while conducting the people’s business. It is time that they are recognized for what they are, obfuscators, impediments against what is right, and purveyors of evil.

Truth matters?

In the past a dishonest merchant would “tip the scales” to cheat his clients and gain financial advantage. Utilizing deliberately inaccurate scales, adding additional weight, distracting the purchaser, or anything that would swing the transaction in their favor were some of the tactics employed. These disreputable merchants, once found out, were reviled, and were forced out of the area, if they were not jailed. Once lost, trust is not easily regained. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. There were no second chances for the corrupt. Liars and cheats have no place in a civil society.

When the 60’s anarchists realized that using violence to overthrow the government was failing, they decided to adopt Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. They hatched a scheme to infiltrate academia, journalism, and government. In doing so, they placed themselves in positions to indoctrinate young minds in the universities, report their chosen narrative on the various media platforms, and expand their influence through the deep state by directing legislation favorable to their objectives and working to elect like-minded or malleable individuals to office. When the ends justify the means, there is nothing too extreme for these radicals. And their strategy has been highly successful.

Marxist professors have done an excellent job imparting their leftist ideology to generations of their students, creating younger versions of themselves. University students have embraced the pro-Palestine movement and parrot the leftist slogans that have led to the resurgence of antisemitism. The absurdity of supporting an avowed enemy of Israel and the United States is staggering. They Ignore the deliberate attack of Israeli civilians on October 7^th, 2023 and the videotaped gleeful butchering, raping, and hostage taking, yet they denounce Israel’s legitimate defense, demonstrating an utter lack of understanding moral equivalency. To safeguard Israeli citizens from future attacks, Hamas must be eradicated. These students, useful tools for the left, have been taught to hate their country, hate their “whiteness,” disrespect authority, and support all manner of radical ideology.

The legacy media abandons their responsibility to objectively report the news and instead becomes an echo chamber, amplifying talking points of the democrat party. Even though the bias is readily apparent, those so blinded by political fealty cheer on “fake news” as it favors their personal beliefs. Prejudicial application of the law is acceptable to the left if it is directed at political enemies. The constant drumbeat against Christianity, gender bias, “white privilege,” and conservatism, particularly to Donald Trump, has unduly influenced the weak-minded. When the Biden/Harris administration is exposed for colluding with Big Tech to control the narratives around COVID, election fraud, and to suppress information that disproves otherwise, the media ignores and attempts to debunk the story.

Leftists and their willing accomplices denounce those in which they disagree as enemies This is more than disturbing. Far too many have been unduly influenced to the point that they border on the neurotic. Mainstream media is arguably culpable for the attempted assassination of Donald Trump (Remember that? The media has apparently forgotten.) by continually promoting a false and overtly divisive narrative that accuses Trump as an existential threat to democracy. Democracy is dying before our very eyes in the darkness of an untrustworthy and blatantly biased media.

The Deep State is very real and extremely influential in our government. Its tentacles reach deep within the inner workings of the Federal government. And it protects its status with a vengeance. Outsiders are not welcome and if elected are controlled by obstruction and obfuscation. There is good reason that government continues to expand and take more tax dollars to feed their insatiable spending that has the US more than $34Trillion in debt. Rampant spending allows the Deep State and their democrat allies to continue to add layer upon layer of taxes, fees, and regulations on the taxpayer. Electing Trump in 2016 was just a speed bump for the bureaucracy that was able to stymie much of his agenda, with help from the elected ruling class on both sides of the aisle. Handing over the reins to Kamala will lead us in the wrong direction. The godless, anti-life, pro-Hamas, pro child mutilation, government censorship, and the military industrial complex that is the Deep State will continue to balloon out of control.

The choice for Christians could not be clearer. Democrats embrace radical ideology that does not represent this nation. Donald Trump is not perfect, but only one person in history was. Currently we are at a tipping point. Another four years with a democrat in the White House and control of Congress will likely be the death knell of this nation. We must elect our representatives that uphold the values we hold dear. It is clear that democrats have not earned our trust and there are enough Republicans that are in this for themselves, but a conservative majority is a far better option. Cleaning house will take some time, but with Republican leadership it can begin. We need to roll back the insanity that is the left and return to normalcy. it is up to each of us to ensure that happens.

Assigning responsibility

After the atrocities committed by Hamas against Israeli civilians on October 7^th, many on the left have sought ways to justify the heinous actions of Hamas. There has also been a concerted effort to delineate that somehow the Palestinians and Hamas are separate and disparate entities. That the Palestinians are simply innocent of any responsibility for the actions of Hamas. That the Israeli response is not proportionate with the October 7^th attacks and far more Palestinian civilians have died than Israelis. Some have attempted to justify the inhuman and sadistic actions of Hamas as an appropriate response to an occupying force that has withheld the basic needs of the Palestinians through force and intimidation. If you repeat a lie often enough it does not become truth even though many actually are convinced that these are facts.

Israeli forces are accused of committing war crimes when it has been Hamas that repeatedly commits acts of violence that target innocent civilians. As with leftists, accuse your enemy of what you are doing, to create confusion and conceal the evidence of your own guilt. The fact of the matter is that the war crimes are committed by only one side, the radicalized Islamists like Hamas. Raping and pillaging not only went out of style in the Middle Ages, civilized societies outlawed that behavior in the Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907. Islamists, never the ones to submit to Western laws and culture, commit atrocities at will. Liberals that like to hurl accusations of “toxic masculinity” and “rape culture” need to look no further than those who practice the religion of peace. In Europe, open borders and unfettered immigration have led to an exponential increase in sexual assaults, predominantly committed by Middle Eastern immigrant men. One wonders what the Quran has to say about this.

The left has difficulty condemning Hamas's barbarisms, but there is little compunction in turning the blame to Israel. The massacre of Jews by Hamas confirms that these barbarians are evil personified, inhuman animals, and unredeemable. The parable of the wheat and weeds tells that the weeds should be allowed to grow with the wheat, but in this instance leaving the weeds in the field will ruin the entire crop. These animals must be excised like the cancer that they are or else it will spread and kill the host. We may lose some of the wheat, but the vast majority of the crop will be saved. If Hamas survives, they will again kill those that they deem their enemies, and that is most of the Western world. Appeasement will only allow these monsters to repeat their crimes, over and over.

Leftists cite these words by the former leader of Al Qaida that “justified” the attack of 9-11. Leftists call out the imperialist US government for stealing the lands of the native Americans. Leftists call out the US for colonialism, systemic racism, and any ism or phobia you can imagine. Based upon these leftist screeds, we can extrapolate that the Palestinian people bear the responsibility for the actions of their army, Hamas. Since the Palestinian people have allowed Hamas to militarize everything from their Mosques to their playgrounds, they bear culpability. So many of the Palestinian people support the actions of Hamas and have no interest in peace, only the destruction of Israel and Jews, they are just as guilty of war crimes as is Hamas. Collateral damage and civilian casualties, though regrettable, is a fact of war. Hamas started the war and Israel will fight until the threat is eliminated. That means the destruction of every last member of Hamas, including the Hamas leadership hiding in safe havens like Qatar and Bahrain. That is the only way Israel can exist in relative safety.

Recognizing evil and the destruction that it has wrought has never been more important than now in our deeply polarized society. Failure to understand that the goal of the left is to destabilize and fundamentally transform this nation will inevitably lead to its destruction. Yet, there are those who blindly follow the divisive ideology the left promotes. Young people, who have been indoctrinated in Marxism without any common sense at woke universities, parrot talking points without any intellectual curiosity, refuse any debate, and shout down those they deem antithetical to their beliefs. These and other useful idiots that support this evil are simply tools used by the left to achieve their goals. Like generals in war, they stand safely behind, watching their pawns do battle, while they reap the rewards of their underling’s work.

This has never been more apparent than the rise in antisemitism rhetoric by those supporting Palestinians and by proxy, the brutal atrocities perpetrated by Hamas. The absurd correlation between the civilian casualties suffered by Israel compared to the civilian casualties suffered by Palestinians in Gaza is inane. Hamas specifically targeted civilians. Israel is targeting Hamas and giving notice of the areas they intend to strike to minimize collateral damage and civilian casualties. Hamas has been blocking civilian escape routes to maximize civilian casualties and deaths to sway world opinion against Israel. That strategy has been largely effective as leftist groups have spurred on Palestinian sympathizers and antisemites that have coalesced to villainize Israel. The lack of knowledge by these “peace” protesters and the vitriol they spew is appalling. Jewish hatred is rearing its ugly head and it is neither Christians nor conservatives that are proclaiming these vile invectives in the public square.

89% of Palestinians support the terrorism that Hamas and other radical Islamic groups perpetrate against Israel, the United States, and the world. Palestinians overwhelmingly elected Hamas to lead their government. Palestinians will not accept peace with Israel, in fact, a majority rejects Israel’s right to exist and want to eradicate the Jewish people. These fools that “stand up for Palestine” and chant “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” would be persecuted and rejected for their core beliefs supporting LGTBQI+, transgenderism, abortion, and women’s rights in most of the Islamic world. Let these buffoons with their blue hair, tattoos, and piercings try to co-exist and embrace Islam, the religion of “peace.” Islam will not embrace you. You’ll be lucky if you don’t get thrown off some roof with your LGTBQI+ friends, and if you aren’t put to death, you’ll be required to wear a burka that covers your chosen identity. Perhaps, then they would understand that America is not that bad.

The father of lies is operating a well-oiled machine in his realm. The young and impressionable are being willingly and enthusiastically led right into his trap. Society’s upheaval is being fueled by liberty-hating global elites that know far better than us unwashed masses. Money talks, and those mega-wealthy elitists are financing wannabe leftists for their new world-order ambitions from their ivory towers. Unfortunately, there will be no place in the new world order hierarchy for those manipulated by this evil ideology.

We must not only resist this evil, we must confront it with the truth, the way, and the life. We cannot simply stand mute while so many are at risk of falling prey to the evil one and his schemes. We need to put on our spiritual armor and learn how to plant the seeds of faith in order to overcome this evil that is overwhelming our world. The father of lies will flee when confronted with the truth and it is up to us to proclaim the truth of Jesus Christ. It’s time to step out of our comfort zone and call out this evil for what it is. It's time to get involved with our local schools and protest against woke and racist ideology being taught to our children. It's time to make sure our elected officials uphold Christian values and morals, and pledge to serve their constituency, and not themselves. It’s time that we the majority get up and be heard over the squeaky wheels that promote the leftist, Marxist, socialist, and communist agenda.

Complicit definition; Acquiescing to or enabling a criminal or wrongful action. The standard line that the Palestinian people are separate from Hamas is inherently false. In 2006, Hamas won the Palestinian Legislative elections, when Palestinians overwhelmingly voted for their stated platform to eradicate the Jews from the earth. Since then, through bickering and internal conflicts and skirmishes with Israel has led Hamas to control the entire Gaza strip. As Barack Obama succinctly stated, elections have consequences. Sometimes when you get what you wish for, you get what you deserve. So, the Palestinian people have no one to blame but themselves. Palestine is Hamas. Hamas is Palestine. When you prefer that a terrorist organization lead your government and utilize schools, playgrounds, and Mosques to stage their weapons of terror, you are complicit in the heinous acts they commit.

The horrific acts committed by Hamas in their surprise attack of Israel in October of 2023, fall directly into the laps of those who not only allowed, but cheered on this terrorist organization’s rise to power. Israel has suffered from constant terror attacks against their nation and citizens for decades. Hamas’ stated objective is to eradicate all Jews from the face of the earth and reclaim Israel territory as their own, or better known as “From the river to the sea Palestine will be free.” There was never any intent for a two-state solution. To Hamas, Jews are to be eradicated, by any means necessary until none remain. Hamas makes Hitler, Stalin and Mao look pale in comparison. The Palestinian people have long supported terrorist attacks on the United States and around the world. Who can forget them dancing in the streets for joy after the attacks of 9-11 that killed almost 3000 innocents? Actions have consequences and Palestinians have faced limited consequences for supporting acts of terror by Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran. A full accounting is long overdue!

Civilian deaths or casualties are simply a fact of warfare. Even with all of the technological advances in weaponry, innocent lives will be lost. But, when you revel in the killing of innocent Israelis, the chickens will come home to roost. Israel was given the promised land by God and in 1948 Israel formally announced that it had created a Jewish state. Palestinians rejected the declaration and this led to a war with Israel and the eventual eviction of Palestinians from Israel. Rather than integrate into another country, the Palestine Liberation Organization, a terrorist organization led by the notorious Yasar Arafat, was formed in 1964 and committed atrocities against Israel and Jews worldwide. Their attempts to force Israel to cede land for a Palestinian nation and pro-Palestinian propaganda did have an effect. In 1993, the Oslo Accords established a peace process that was intended to lead to a two-State solution. The PLO was granted autonomy in the Gaza strip. This has only given the Islamic terrorists a strategic base to launch attacks against Israel on a regular basis.

Billions and billions of dollars have been allocated to the Palestinian Authority, yet little is actually used to the betterment of the Palestinian people. The vast majority of the money goes to Hamas and other terrorist organizations to aid in their jihad against Israel. Money for infrastructure has been used to build a network of sophisticated tunnels that are used to further terrorism. This is on the Palestinian people. This is not the fault of Israel or the world. Give them what they want, they will get what they deserve. Hamas and other hate filled terrorist organizations and regimes must be eradicated. Their simple goal is to kill anyone who does not believe as they do. They are merely animals with their only instinct to hate and kill. There is no two-State solution. There is no negotiation that can placate their extreme hatred. There is no place for them in civilized society. You reap what you sow and if it ends in your destruction, so be it!

As Christians, we are called to love our neighbor, so how can we reconcile the call for the destruction of these terrorist networks? We are also not called to be simply led to the slaughter. In Jesus’ sermon on the mount, he called on us to turn the other cheek. In His day, a slap on the cheek was considered an insult, not a physical assault. We are granted the ability to defend ourselves, even if it means taking a life. We are also called to resist and fight evil and Hamas and their ilk are the epitome of evil. Israel and the world are fighting a battle that pits good against evil. Even so, continue to pray that your enemies can resist the evil one and renounce their wicked plans.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God, so that you can make your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:10-12
