Virginia democrats to “save” democracy.

When court rulings upset democrats, they will fight to the end in order to get their way. There will no longer be a need to “pack the court” when conservatives rule constitutionally and common-sense reigns. Democrat-controlled States can just change the rules by passing unreasonable mandatory retirement ages. This is actually true. The Virginia Supreme Court ruled that the State’s “gerrymandering” referendum that recently passed 51-48%, overruling a previous independent redistricting, voter approved map, was unconstitutional. The democrat’s next effort to “save democracy” is to replace that entire current Supreme Court by legislating a mandatory retirement age of 54. Coincidently, the youngest justice is 54, creating an opportunity for democrat Governor Abigail Spanberger to simply appoint an entire slate of new justices that would rule favorably in any other democrat scheme to usurp the authority of the electorate.

This unabashedly malicious and unethical plot to overthrow the will of the people is simply more evidence that democrats care only about gaining and maintaining power. You see, democrats are not unlike petulant children that throw tantrums when they cannot get their way. Voters are merely pawns, to be literally used as tools to keep them in office. Democrats depend upon the drumbeat of the legacy media to amplify their lies and ignore their missteps. Subterfuge is the guiding principle of the democrat party. Keeping the uninformed believing the propaganda that they continually spew is all important. What democrats fear most is an informed electorate, that can see right through their lies.

In the marketplace of ideas, democrats fail. They support policies (transgenderism, abortion, governmental censorship, open borders, antisemitism, anti-incarceration, and on and on) that are opposed by and are detrimental to Americans. Why is it that the policies democrats support are upheld through friendly court decisions? Why is it that democrat operatives sue to prevent policies and legislation favorable to Americans but are opposed by the left? There are consequences to elections, particularly when leftist judges are appointed to the bench. It is no coincidence that those very same judges serve in venues that democrat operatives file their frivolous lawsuits. Never mind that higher courts overturn their rulings, these are roadblocks designed to delay good policies and legislation from taking effect.

Former democrats are leaving the party in droves as their eyes are finally opened to the contradiction that the democrat party has become. Their quest to “save” democracy, by supporting the no king’s movement, Black Lives Matter, condemning the “oligarchy,” and continually villainizing Trump, has shown those with eyes to see, ears to hear, and minds to comprehend, that they no longer are the party of the people. That ship began to sail with the advent of Barack Obama and his strategy to widen the racial and class divide rather than working to bring all Americans together. He championed diversity, equity, and inclusion that has simply divided the population by race, creed, and color. If Americans are at each other’s throats, democrats can commit atrocities against those too busy calling out one another for perceived “injustices.” If Americans saw one another as Americans with common goals, democrats would be lost. Without a bogeyman, there is no one to blame for democrat failures.

As more of the corruption democrats have engaged in is exposed, their claim to any legitimacy is destroyed. As democrat policies are exposed to the light of day, more and more Americans reject them. The result of the mid-term elections in November will indicate whether Americans are finally paying attention. If they are, democrats will lose seat upon seat in Congress, Governorships, and State legislatures. If not, the United States may just be heading to the same conclusion as other nations that fell under their own weight. Every American that wants this great nation to continue to provide rest for the weary, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness must not only make certain to cast their own ballot but should make certain to encourage any conservative they know to cast their ballots. Failure to right the ship may just doom this nation to become another in a long line of failed nations.

Democrats govern foolishly and selfishly. Democrats reject the authority of God. Democrats reject common sense. Continue to elect them as leaders and they will put an end to our cherished freedoms. We must understand that they intend to dominate us from within and vote accordingly.

 

Fraudsters

 

There’s good reason that democrats are all about spending taxpayer money.

When organized criminal organizations acquire their ill begotten income, they need a method to circumvent the IRS. Many of these criminal enterprises use shadow companies to “launder” or hide their money from the authorities. Some criminals use real companies, but most are simply storefront businesses that create spreadsheets only. Noted 1930’s mobster Al Capone was incarcerated and died in Federal prison after being convicted of income tax evasion. One thing criminals always do is keep a record of their finances. That is how most criminals are eventually caught and prosecuted.

The efficiency of the democrat machine puts most criminal organizations to shame. The tangled web of fraud is deep and pervasive. The Substack site Dollar vs Peso has a great article documenting the fraud perpetrated by the democrat machine. Here. The United States government spent almost $7Trillion in 2024. That’s a 7 with 12 zeros after it. Hard to even imagine that much money. Harder still to have the proper oversight and management of those funds. But, if you’re in government long enough, one can find a way to redirect that funding to your benefit.

The now defunct USAID had a budget of $21.7Billion in 2024. Much of that funding went to non-governmental agencies (NGO) to administer. Once allocated for any matter of programs worldwide, government oversight ended. If you believe that the $50Million for condoms in Gaza were spent appropriately, I’ve got a bridge for sale that may interest you. $Millions were skimmed from these programs and redirected to the DNC from numerous USAID “programs” through various NGOs. Funding was provided to various entities that, in turn, redistributed a percentage of the funding to democrats and democrat causes. This scheme has been perfected by decades of corrupt politicians and bureaucrats that keep the gravy train rolling.

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) was the largest recipient of USAID funding, receiving $4.6Billion in 2024. They received an additional $2.9Billion in immigration related funding during the Biden administration. Over 90% of the political donations from employes of CRS went to democrat candidates and causes. Chemonics International was next with over $4.5Billion. 100% of political donations made by their employees went to democrat candidates. FHI 360 is next on the list with $3.8Billion in funding. Over 90% of their employees donated to democrat candidates. Planned Parenthood (PP) received $700Million in federal funding in 2024. PP donated over $5Million to democrat candidates and causes in 2024. George Soros’ Open Society received over $270Million from USAID since 2010. Your tax dollars go to fund soft on crime District Attorneys, is suspected of funding groups such as Antifa and Black Lives Matter, and other organizations that promote anarchy and disruption in democracies.

In a nutshell, democrats are dirty. Sure, some Republicans are too. Especially those who have been in office forever, but democrats are evil to the core. You can find blue dog, Kennedy democrats, but they are few and far between. In the hierarchy of democrat ambitions, serving the people is far down the list. Smurfs, straw democrat donors, used to give tens of $Millions to the DNC using their names and addresses, without their permission. Democrat funded and supplied protestors travel throughout the US to disrupt any policies deemed unsatisfactory by the democrat party. Lawsuit after lawsuit is filed by democrat operatives targeting everything from elections to congressional and executive actions to boards of education fighting wokeness. The democrats, their allies in the media, and activist judges will obstruct anything that impedes their agenda, and their agenda is counter to what we, the people want.

I was a loyal democrat until the mid-1990’s, union member, and chief steward. I voted for Jimmy Carter, twice. Yep, Bill Clinton, both times. Supported him during the Lewinsky impeachment hearings. Started listening to Rush Limbaugh on a bet for one week to prove to my conservative co-worker that I was right and he was wrong. I lost! That’s when I found out that I had closed my mind to anything that did not comport with my worldview. I had discovered the enemy, and it was me. I realized just how obtuse I had become. It was like my eyes had been opened for the first time. I began reading from conservative news and comparing it to liberal news. I became a recovering liberal who discovered just how bad democrat policies were to we, the people.

If more people took the time to really listen to all sides of an argument, I believe most would reject the policies of identity politics, wokeness, and divisiveness that embodies the democrat party. Democrats do not offer anything of value to we, the people. Democrats want to rule and not serve. Democrats are all about enriching themselves and maintaining power, that allows them to continue enriching themselves. Democrats must not remain in power in any government office or bureaucracy. We must clean house in Congress and remove partisan bureaucrats. If your representative is not aligned with your values, vote for someone who does. Let’s put God fearing, moral, and ethical servant leaders in Congress that serve we, the people, not themselves.

 

Counterfeit Grievance

 The left tries to normalize violence.

Just as aberrant sexual behavior has been normalized with the assistance of the left, they attempt to validate the use of “righteous” violence to advance perceived grievances.

Why do You make me see iniquity? Why do You tolerate wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are before me. Strife is ongoing, and conflict abounds. Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth. For the wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted. Habakkuk 1:3-4

It never ceases to amaze me that Scripture, even the Old Testament, is so very pertinent to today. What is happening today has happened before. The evil one and his minions continue to use the same tired playbook. Perhaps, now the people will not continue to fall for those same tricks. Democrats are the perverters of justice. Their playbook fosters division, embraces lies, and denies common sense. Their accusations, although amplified by a compliant media, are a steady stream of falsehoods and delusions.

The organized attacks on Tesla dealerships, charging stations, and owner is not just mind numbingly wrong-headed, it is terribly misguided. Leftist true believers and paid thugs carry out the marching orders of the democrat elite. “Let the pawns expose themselves to danger,” while the leftist democrat leaders use their minions to preplan and carry out their misdeeds that endanger our nation’s rule of law. For democrats, the rule of law is to be bent, folded, and mutilated to their advantage. You see, the ends justify the means.

During the riots of the summer of 2020, our Department of Justice simply engaged in catch and release. During and after the events of January 6^th, 2021, the Department of Justice left no stone unturned to bring anyone at the Capital to “justice.”

Under the guise of protecting democracy, $Billions of property damage, numerous lives lost, and hundreds injured, leftist rioters were granted leniency in 2020, while even peaceful trespassers on January 6^th were prosecuted well beyond the scope of their transgressions. Yes, democrats lied to the American people about the “insurrection” on January 6^th while they minimized the “mostly peaceful” riots after George Floyd’s death at the hands of Minneapolis Police. Antifa and Black Lives Matter thugs we let off with municipal citations, when they committed felonies, while grandmothers strolling through open doors at the Capital were given four-year sentences.

“So justice is turned away, and righteousness stands at a distance. For truth has stumbled in the public square, and honesty cannot enter. Truth is missing, and whoever turns from evil becomes prey. The LORD looked and was displeased that there was no justice.” Isaiah 59:14-15

Ken Martin, the Democrat National Committee Chair is instituting a “people’s cabinet” to actively undermine a duly elected President and his administration. Tim Walz, the 2024 democrat Vice-Presidential candidate had earlier called for a “shadow government” to derail and counter any policy initiatives proposed by President Trump. In this case the democrats are not propagating lies, they do admit to conspiring to commit treason against the sitting President, elected by a majority of Americans. The utter contempt that democrats have for the people is staggering. They utterly fail to govern by refusing to even try.

Yet, the democrat party’s biggest failure is their inability to discern right from wrong. To them, violence is a way to regain power. To them, continuing to support waste, fraud, and inefficiency in government maintains the money flow to their party. To them, their party is everything. To them, the people are merely pawns to help them get what they want.

Democrats think Americans are stupid. Democrats only obey the law when it serves their self-interests. Democrats have chosen their side, and it is not on the side of freedom. Democrats, simply put, are in league with Satan because they believe that better serves their purpose than moderating their positions in order to serve God.

The democrat party commits both offenses with their rhetoric and their malfeasance. They must be exposed for what they truly are and face the appropriate consequences. With DOGE following the money, hopefully that will happen sooner than later.

Unwitting Pawns was also published as a Guest Opinion piece in the West Bend Daily News on February 11th, 2023. Pastor Schoob's critique of the article says it all. The ELCA is awash in heresy and cares little about preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world in order to bring the lost to Him. Please pray for Schoob and especially for his congregation. If his sermons mirror his stated beliefs, his flock is not being fed the bread of life.

Tolerance more than just a phrase

Can’t paint Christians with wide brush

I am responding to Don Kriefall’s article “Unwitting Pawns,” printed in your paper. To paraphrase words from Luke Skywalker in a recent “Star Wars” film, “Almost every word in that article is wrong.” The only sentiment of his that I can agree with is that we should have a more tolerant society. Yet the article itself seems to be the poster child for intolerance and misinformation.

Where is it wrong?

The idea of accepted social norms varies depending on perspective. I and many others find the author’s idea of social norms narrow, abusive, and founded on a desire to keep the white, heterosexual male as the ideal.

He is wrong that there is a common understanding among Christians of what constitutes sexual deviance. My church is open and receiving of those in the LGBTQIA+ communities.

He is wrong that all Christians hold a common understanding of biblical material. There are many passages that Christians understand in different ways. Many Christians understand certain passages as being grounded in a different culture and time period. New understandings of our humanity lead us to examine passages in a different light of those understandings. You cannot use one interpretive approach as normative and call it “Christian.”

Most of the society does not hold that people must be defined by the binary male and female. Most also are open to recognition of gay and lesbian committed relationships. A majority of Americans embrace an idea of acceptance toward the LGBTQIA+ community. Almost all the experts on human behavior recognize a fluidity to gender identity.

LGBTQIA+ identity is not in any way connected with the lack of a mother or father.

LGBTQIA+ identities are not developed because of a secret plot by educators. Educators instead teach information to help young people understand themselves and others.

The understanding of systemic racism does not arise from a left-wing plot. The understanding of systemic racism arises out of a careful study of history and a sensitivity to the cries of communities of color. Parents are always free to remove a student from a history class if they do not accept the information and move their child to another school that is less rigorous in its analysis.

In the same vein, Black Lives Matter does not stand in opposition to the idea of All Lives Matter. Black Lives Matter affirms that all lives matter, but is honest about the mistreatment of blacks and speaks for those whose voices are not heard. The members of Black Lives Matter remind us all that black lives do matter as much as white lives. If we are all of one race as asserted in the article then there should be justice offered equally to all. Race is a social construct, (another correct assertion in the article) and continues to be used to promote injustice by a white-dominated society each and every day. The idea of Christian nationalism that the article espouses is not consistent with the constitutional understanding of the nation or the understanding of Jesus. Jesus refused a crown and called his followers to the law of love before any law or nation.

Finally, the article says that the left is always using the tactics of bullying, manipulation, and misinformation to try to drive people to their point of view. I would ask the author to follow his own advice: “We need to look at ourselves in the mirror and recognize who we really are.”

Unwitting Pawns

Everyone should practice tolerance, inclusion, acceptance and welcoming in their daily lives. Sharing those values within our community allows society to thrive. Problem is, these ideals have been corrupted by those that wish to foment distrust and division in this nation. Many who fall prey to this perversion of wholesome principals believe that past perceived injustices merit the abandonment of accepted societal norms in order to “make things right.”  Unfortunately, appeasing the loudest voices and acquiescing to radical ideology, allows an unfettered rush to a fundamental transformation of this great nation.

Deviant sexuality has prospered in this nation due to the mistaken belief that acceptance is the appropriate response to properly love your neighbor. This only promotes further attacks on the moral fiber of society. Like the school yard bully, inaction only increases the bully’s resolve. Without moral clarity, humankind’s innate selfishness takes the reins. We need to look at the reflection in the mirror and recognize who we really are. When traditional values are rejected and replaced with “new things” that disregard moral decency, one cannot easily justify those behaviors.

God created each of us with intrinsic differences, with different skills and talents. The gifts afforded to each of us vary. It is our differences that enable us to fulfill various roles that benefit all. Men and women are created to fulfill specific, yet equal roles, when raising children. Eliminate either from the equation and you stifle the child’s development. Both are necessary to guide and nurture the child. Both are necessary to instill values, morals, and faith. Both are necessary to impart the unique skillsets they possess to teach their children to become productive members of society. Without a mother or father, the child will seek to fill that void elsewhere.

Woke educators attempt to usurp parental rights by mainstreaming and encouraging experimentation with LGTBQ lifestyles, promoting transgenderism, and indoctrinating our youth with Critical Race Theory, at the expense of core education. Children are particularly impressionable and vulnerable to suggestion as they develop and learn. Trusting that curriculum will follow accepted societal norms is no longer acceptable. Without parental involvement in the education of their children, children will be at risk of the dominant woke culture that seeks to discard traditional values and replace them with leftist ideology.

Black lives matter, but no more than any other life. With God as our father, we are all brothers and sisters, no matter how we look on the outside. Race is a social construct. We are all members of one race; the human race. Jesus said to love your neighbor as yourself, yet leftists are relentless in their attacks on Christianity. Forgiving others and turning the other cheek must be too foreign for leftists to understand. Revenge does nothing to right any perceived wrongs. Retribution does nothing to lift the spirit. Reparations do nothing but punish those who have committed no crime and reward those who have not suffered loss.

Those that agree with the path that the current administration is leading the country need to wake up. For those who acquiesce to the insanity that has overtaken this nation, hear this; You will have no place in this new world order, you are advocating for your own demise. The fundamental transformation of this nation is being abetted by those who put tolerance, acceptance, and inclusion above common sense. Leftists mean to tear down traditional society and replace it with socialism. Socialist elites will then make decisions for their benefit, while everyone else will be mired in mediocrity.

Look around. Are you satisfied with the current trajectory of our nation? Can you rationalize the criminality occurring on our city streets daily? Will you willingly choose to turn your life over to a ruling elite? The “leaders” of the World Economic Forum would like that. They have openly stated such. They know what is best for us underlings. If we sit back and allow it, it will happen and your worst nightmare will be realized.

It’s time that we turn back to the Judeo-Christian beliefs that made this nation great. It’s time that we are able to share differing opinions without being maligned. Leftists silence dissent. Leftists accuse their detractors of racism, homophobia, and transphobia. Leftists want you to be willing sheep to be led to slaughter. This is our future if we fail to uphold our Republic, founded as a more perfect union for all. And fall it will, if we sit back and do nothing.

We have a common adversary.

Apparently, much confusion reigns within the party of identity politics. You would think that when the collective pigeon holes each individual into distinctive blocs, they would understand the distinguishing traits each individual group possesses. Take what constitutes the Left for instance. The Left does not espouse the values inherent in those who identify as liberal. The Left does not share the values of the Democrat party. The Left looks to replace free enterprise with socialism. The Left is antithetic to the Constitution of the United States. The majority of those who belong to the party of John Kennedy and/or embrace liberalism, leftism is as far from their values as are those embraced by the extreme right. In fact, leftism has much more in common with the extreme right than anything that Democrats believe in and cherish. Unfortunately, the leadership of the Democrat party is embracing the ideals of Leftism, apparently convinced that it is a winning strategy. What exactly are the tenets of leftism?

On America – the US is an inherently, systemically racist country founded illegitimately by slave owners. Equality of opportunity needs to be replaced with equitable outcomes.

On borders – open borders with unlimited immigration, particularly to persons of color in order to increase the minority population.

On race – a return to segregation, dividing by race. Universities have established black only dormitories and graduations. Soon to return, black only and white only drinking fountains. In Critical Race Theory, persons of color are considered oppressed by a system that unfairly rewards whites.

On gender – there is an infinite number of genders and children should be able to make their own decisions on their chosen gender, including beginning medical treatments to transition to another gender, without parental notification. Men that identify as female can participate in women’s sports. What is your chosen pronoun?

On free speech – any speech considered inappropriate to the tenets of Leftism are to be considered hate speech and to be shouted down and suppressed. There is no longer a free exchange of ideas or any debate allowed on college campuses.

On capitalism and the free market – capitalism must be destroyed and replaced with socialism, which is actually a guiding principle of the Black Lives Matter movement.

On religion – all must kneel at the altar of the State. Religion is to be banned.

If you happen to embrace these ideals, you may just be a Leftist. If you do not, it is time to wake up!

If more of the members of the Democrat party realized the direction that their party is headed, they would reject it and advocate for change in their leadership. Conservatives and Republicans are not the enemy. Both Democrats/liberals and Republicans/conservatives should have the same common goal, facilitating the means to improve the lives of those they represent. Our differences have always been about the methods and direction taken to achieve those goals. One party favors more government intervention and one party prefers giving citizens the means to forge their own path. We used to end up in the same place, reaching common ground and compromising when necessary. This is becoming increasingly rare, as the parties engage in more finger pointing than actual real debate.

Another issue accelerating division in our nation is the instant gratification our evolving society affords. Social media drives opinions with censorship, misinformation and down and out falsehoods. It has become increasingly difficult to find the truth. It has become all too easy to simply consume that which upholds one’s opinion, siloed within group-think, and ignore anything that could potentially invalidate one’s chosen opinion. If we disagree, so be it. Let’s work to resolve our differences. The Left should be our shared enemy, not each other. As Democrats/liberals and Republicans/conservatives we need to unite to fight the Left, as it’s stated goal is to fundamentally transform this nation into something it was never intended to be. America has its’ warts and blemishes. Even with all of our successes, we have failed our citizens far too often. But, we are all Americans. We all share the same common ground. We need to work together to protect our country from those who would destroy it and to keep our nation as that shining beacon on a hill.

Is this the beginning of OUR end?

Mainstream media leaves no doubt that they have become the mouthpiece of the democrat party and the Left. Chaos is their best friend. When Kyle Rittenhouse shot and killed two assailants and wounded another during the August 2020 riots in Kenosha, the lawless mainstream media could not contain themselves. In the United States, one is presumed innocent until proven guilty. The media inflamed the mob after the Jacob Blake shooting by the police in Kenosha, WI in August of 2020. Anti-police rhetoric, false narratives of police brutality and the incessant downplaying of “mostly peaceful protests”, emboldened the mob to engage in rioting, looting and arson. Governor Evers refused to deploy the National Guard and police were ordered to stand down. Lacking an appropriate police presence, left the rioters without tangible consequences and mayhem ensued. Mainstream media continues to encourage anarchy and destruction with their unabashed Leftist rhetoric. There is blood on their hands.

President Biden and a litany of democrats poured additional gasoline (more likely a non-oil-based accelerant) on the fire by declaring their anger at the verdict. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers had the unmitigated gall to make a statement, “No ruling today changes our reality in Wisconsin that we have to work to do toward equity, accountability, and justice that communities across our state are demanding and deserve.” Needless to say, Evers did send troops to Kenosha after the verdict was announced. Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor and US Senate candidate Mandela Barnes went further. “We have seen so many black and brown youth killed, only to be put on trial posthumously, while the innocence of Kyle Rittenhouse was virtually demanded by the judge.” This unabated anger mongering by elected officials is only meant to encourage further division and hatred. The rioting in 2020 has led to 25 deaths, over 2,000 police officers injured and $billions in property destruction. Our former divider in chief, Barack Obama issued numerous statements decrying police brutality and unfair targeting of persons of color by “white” society. This helped facilitate the rise of the Occupy movement, Antifa, Black lives matter and increased violence against police. As police are ordered to stand down and progressive District Attorneys refuse to criminally charge the rioters, the mob is further emboldened.

Kyle Rittenhouse, came to Kenosha Wisconsin to help protect property after a call to action was posted on social media, joining other citizens to augment the lack of police intervention. He armed himself with an AR-14, equipped himself with medical supplies to tend to any injured and was cleaning up graffiti. Should he have been there? Did he exhibit poor judgement by placing himself at risk? Did he really consider the consequences of his actions? Probably not. The question is, does his presence with a weapon make him guilty of a crime? If you watch any of the mainstream media, you would be led to believe that it did. This is patently false, a lie that has been proclaimed over and over. Joe Scarborough of MSNBC led the charge by accusing Rittenhouse of vigilantism, intending to target persons of color and indiscriminately firing 60 rounds, when he actually fired only 4 times, directly at what he believed were threats to his life.

Rittenhouse has been vilified by both the media and democrats without valid reason. If anyone can look at the video of the incidents and not understand that they are almost picture-perfect examples of self-defense, that person is either a liar or an idiot. Speaking of idiots, who in their right mind would attack a person armed with a long rifle shouting out that he is a friendly? Hate to say it, but sometimes culling the herd is not always a bad thing. Nick Sandman, the high schooler who was confronted by a drum beating Native American activist in Washington, DC, was also vilified by the media. He sued for defamation and the media paid out over $100 million to settle the cases. Here’s hoping that Rittenhouse follows Sandman’s lead. Let’s hope that the reckless disregard of the truth is finally put to bed or that enough people maligned and lied about, sue them into non-existence. If we fail to understand that the Left is engaged in the pursuit of destroying our Constitutional Republic and that the mainstream media and democrat party are becoming increasingly aligned with the Left, our nation will fall. Just like Tass and Pravda spread communist propaganda in the Soviet Union, our mainstream media mirrors the same tactics.

On Saturday, November 20th, 2021, Darrell Brooks, a black man, drove his vehicle through a Christmas Parade in Waukesha, WI and mowed over 50 people, including children, killing 6. Vaun Mayes, a “Black Lives Matter” activist declared the following Monday, "But it sounds possible that the revolution has started in Wisconsin. It started with this Christmas parade." This is what our nation is becoming. This is what those who want to be “woke” are supporting. This is the enemy that will destroy us from within. To my democrat friends, is this what you signed up for and support? Is this what is best for our nation? Are you paying attention to what the leadership of your party is espousing? It is long past time to wake up and smell the roses. To the “woke” left and the useful idiots that support their inane ideology, you will be remembered in history as was the Emperor Nero, who fiddled as Rome burned except that you are actually stoking the fire.

Systemic?

Since the rioting and protesting began after the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis Police officers, we have expanded our vocabulary to include such terms as systemic racism, white privilege, all lives do not matter to everyone and defund the police. It has been reported that the consensus is that one’s skin color hinders the ability to escape the oppression exerted by those in power. In other words, everyone is out to get the black man and to keep him down and if escape is attempted the police will hunt them down and murder them. Facts are indeed the enemy of the left. If people understand the truth, they are much more difficult to deceive or to be led astray. When one misinterprets or fails to realize the objectives of various organizations or persons, they can be easily manipulated. If one takes the time to understand just what defines the talking points that the left, democrats and the mainstream media parrot, the truth begins to come into focus.

Systemic: Relating to a system, especially as opposed to a particular part. In other words, widespread practices that permeate entire systems, such as business, the criminal justice system and in general, economics.

Systemic racism: Racism resulting from the inherent biases and prejudices of the policies and practices of social and political organizations, groups, or institutions. It is the belief that the unfair targeting of persons of color has led to increased incarceration, lower wages and unfair practices in general society that disproportionally and negatively affects persons of color.

Institutional racism: This is a form of racism that is embedded as a normal practice within society or an organization. It is believed that it leads to such issues as discrimination in criminal justice, employment, housing, health care, political power, and education, and pretty much everything else.

Reverse discrimination: The practice or policy of favoring individuals belonging to groups known to have been discriminated against previously. An example of this would be the policy of affirmative action.

Respect: The act of having due regard for the feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions of others. This is a simple and logical concept that is becoming increasingly underused in our society.

Society: The aggregate of people living together in a more or less ordered community that has common laws and expectations of acceptable behavior.

Societal norms: Common standards within a social group regarding socially acceptable or appropriate behavior in particular social situations, the breach of which has social consequences. A prime example of societal norms is the respect of others and their property. To harm another, steal or damage their property would be considered aberrant behavior in civil society.

Crime: An action or omission that constitutes an offense that may be prosecuted by the state and is punishable by law. Crimes consists of misdemeanors and felonies, conviction thereof will likely result in incarceration.

Anarchy: A state of disorder due to absence or non-recognition of authority. ie; Portland, Oregon where the Mayor and Common Council order police to stand-down and allow rioters to burn their city.

Antifa: is an anti-fascist political movement in the United States comprising a diverse array of autonomous groups that aim to achieve their objectives through the use of both non-violent and violent direct action rather than through policy reform. Antifa is not against facism, they are anarchists that engage in all sorts of violence and wanton destruction of property in an effort to destroy civil society.

Black Lives Matter: A Marxist organization that seeks to radically transform America into a socialist country. No, BLM is not a movement meant to seek justice for blacks that are wrongly targeted by police or society in general. Its’ first and only goal is to overthrow the system of government and destroy capitalism, and to replace it with socialism, the first step toward communism.

Legal authority: The ability of a participant in a legal relation to take certain actions or demand certain actions of another participant in this legal relation; this capability is provided for in the law. Police are granted the legal authority to detain and arrest, in effect taking away freedom, for those who choose to violate the law.

Police: The civil force of a national or local government, responsible for the prevention and detection of crime and the maintenance of public order. The police enforce the law and maintain public safety. Defunding of which would lead to far less public safety.

Acknowledging that any death that could have been avoided is tragic, one must keep the consequences of those regrettable events in perspective. According to a study conducted by Rafael Mangual, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, in 2018 there were over 800,000 police officers in the US that engaged in over 10 million citizen contacts. Of those over 10 million contacts, less than 1,000 ended with deadly force, and .003% of those contacts ended in a deadly shooting. Over 91% of those deadly shootings involved a visibly armed suspect, certainly indicating that deadly force was likely justified in those shootings. The reason that a plane crash makes the news is because of the infrequency of plane crashes. The same goes for deadly police shootings. If this was such a common occurrence, it would not be newsworthy.

The study also indicated that the use of non-lethal force by police is also greatly exaggerated. Negative contacts with civilians consist of less than 3% of all interactions with the public. Arrests are made in only about 70% of that 3%. The greatest use of force by police in making an arrest is bodily force, which includes simply placing hands on the suspect, not just the use of less than lethal and not lethal force. Having served 30 years as a police officer in a Milwaukee, WI suburb, arrests of compliant individuals did not ever escalate into a use of force incident. Civilians that followed the lawful commands of police did not end up injured or shot. Civilians that were non-compliant or combative forced the police to escalate in order to effect the arrest.

Police have continued to train in de-escalation techniques that are constantly updated and improved. Police are trained to use minimal force, while keeping themselves and the public safe, and those techniques are formulated to have the most effect while keeping the risk of injury to the suspect minimized. Are police perfect? Of course not. Could police training be improved? Of course, anything can use improvements. One of the factors not receiving the appropriate notice is that more and more of the public are acting inappropriately when interacting with the police. In almost every instance of alleged police brutality is that the suspect refused to comply with police orders and resisted, causing an escalation of the incident. Take the most recent incident in Kenosha, WI. Jacob Blake refused to obey lawful orders to drop a weapon, attempted to flee by opening a car door and reaching into the floor area of an auto. Was there a gun under the seat? Was Blake going to use the knife against the officer? The lesson to be learned is that police have the authority to give orders to citizens and citizens are obligated to obey. Should the police be determined to have acted outside the scope of their authority in any arrest situation, the price of their misconduct will be paid in civil court.

Black Lives Matter and local activists have been organizing protests around the country decrying their perception that police unfairly target black males and claim that the United States applies a pattern of systemic racism targeting blacks. These protests have devolved into rioting and looting in cities across the nation. Professional sports, athletes, Hollywood, the mainstream media and many businesses virtue signal their support for an organization that has a primary goal of transforming our nation into a socialist society, which if realized, would necessarily bankrupt those very organizations that parrot their support of BLM. The facts simply do not meet the veracities of these claims. The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King said, “The limitation of riots, moral questions aside, is that they cannot win and their participants know it. Hence, rioting is not revolutionary but reactionary because it invites defeat. It involves an emotional catharsis, but it must be followed by a sense of futility.”

There are a myriad of issues surrounding why blacks perceive a lack of fairness in society. The claim that police unfairly target them is not one of them. Certainly, there are “bad apples” that wear the badge, but they are few and far between, identified and removed, especially if there is a pattern of behavior. Defunding the police is not only an absurd demand, it is dangerous on its face. With the increased civil disobedience and violence, there should be a move to increase our police force, not decrease it. Should the police be reformed? Training for police should continue to evolve and improve. New and better techniques should always be considered and implemented. The Thin Blue Line is the only thing between the public and anarchy. Eliminate the police and it truly becomes the Wild West when each and every citizen is responsible for providing for their own safety and security.
